How do I post jobs to ToolBelt HIRE?

Unique ToolBelt HIRE job templates will be added to your CareerPlug account. When you post a job using a ToolBelt HIRE job template, CareerPlug will send the job to ToolBelt, where it will be shared and promoted to ToolBelt’s database of crews and tradespeople.

Why is a ToolBelt candidate calling or texting me before I contact them?

ToolBelt HIRE has a unique feature that allows candidates to call or text you immediately after they apply for your job. This empowers candidates to reach out to you ahead of you contacting them. This is intended to speed up your hiring process, so be prepared for candidates to contact you shortly after you’ve posted a ToolBelt job via CareerPlug.

How many jobs can I post on ToolBelt?

With ToolBelt HIRE, you can post an unlimited number of jobs.

That means you can:

  • Post as many open roles as your organization needs—whether for field crews, office staff, or sales positions.
  • Reach candidates on both the ToolBelt network of skilled tradespeople and all major job boards (for office and management roles).
  • Keep jobs live as long as you need without worrying about posting limits.

How do I set up a ToolBelt job template?

Your ToolBelt job templates include job titles and job descriptions specifically designed to attract ToolBelt candidates. Do not edit the job title or job description of your ToolBelt job templates.

However, we do recommend editing the following parts of your ToolBelt job templates:

Location

Ensure your job template is associated with the right location. Use the drop-down menu to change the location, if necessary.

Benefits

Click to select any benefits your job will offer from the listed options. To advertise any benefits that are not listed, enter a custom benefit in the open field in the top-left corner and click the plus icon to add it to your job template.

To avoid duplication, ensure you don't select any benefits already included in your job template's job description.

Job Details

Choose the Employment Type (ToolBelt Full Time, ToolBelt Hourly, ToolBelt Labor and Material Budget, ToolBelt Piece Rate) for your job template from the drop-down menu.

Set the Desired Experience (years) for the job template using the drop-down menu.

Salary

Add salary information to your ToolBelt job templates. Select a Pay style and interval, and enter an Amount.

Resume

The Resume requirement will be toggled off for your ToolBelt job templates by default. You won't receive resumes from any ToolBelt job applicants because they are not required to provide them.

Prescreen Questions

Your ToolBelt job templates don't include prescreen questions by default. Do not add prescreen questions to your jobs because ToolBelt applicants don't have the ability to answer prescreen questions.

Select Posting Status pop-up

The last step before posting your job is to set your job post status. Your ToolBelt job templates are set to Active by default. Verify that your job templates are always set to Active to ensure they post properly on ToolBelt.

How does ToolBelt distribute my jobs and provide candidates in my area?

When you post a job through ToolBelt HIRE, your job will be sent directly to the ToolBelt app, where over 100,000  active tradespeople and contractors look for and apply to open jobs every day.

Your job will appear:

  • On the ToolBelt job board – visible to contractors and tradespeople in your area and in the trade and specialty you are seeking.
  • To matched candidates – ToolBelt’s technology identifies qualified candidates in your trade and location and surfaces your job to them.
  • In-app notifications – Many ToolBelt users receive real-time alerts about new opportunities that fit their trade and location.

This means your job will reach both organic applicants (contractors who find and apply to your posting) and matched candidates (highly qualified prospects surfaced by ToolBelt’s matching system).
